Privacy Policy

Before publishing: replace every placeholder in capital letters, delete the yellow blocks, and make the statements match what your app actually does. This is a starting draft, not legal advice — have it checked if you handle personal data.
The app
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we have access to and how we handle it for APP_NAME ("the app"), provided by VENDOR_NAME as a Marketplace Partner on the Atlassian Marketplace.
Data we access
The app accesses the following data from your Atlassian instance in order to function:
| Data | Why it is accessed |
|---|---|
| DATA_TYPE_1 (for example: issue keys and summaries) | PURPOSE_1 |
| DATA_TYPE_2 (for example: Atlassian account ID of the acting user) | PURPOSE_2 |
| DATA_TYPE_3 | PURPOSE_3 |
The app does not collect analytics or behavioural tracking data about your usage, and we do not sell or share personal data with third parties for advertising.
If your app stores nothing at all, replace this whole section with a single sentence saying so — it is the strongest thing you can tell a security reviewer. If it does store data, list it honestly; Atlassian checks this against your Privacy & Security tab answers.
Where data is stored
The app is built on Atlassian Forge. All data processed by the app is stored within your Atlassian cloud instance's own storage, as configured for that instance. Data does not leave Atlassian's infrastructure and is not transferred to servers operated by us.
Not on Forge? If your app runs on your own hosting (Connect), replace this section with where the servers are, which cloud provider and region, and how data in transit and at rest is protected.
Licensing data
We act as a Marketplace Partner under the Atlassian Marketplace Partner Agreement. When you start an evaluation or purchase a licence, Atlassian provides us with the licensee's contact details, including the name and email address of the billing and technical contacts. We access this information through the Atlassian Marketplace partner interface and use it only for licensing, invoicing, and related communication about the app.
Support requests
If you contact us for support, we process the information you choose to send us — typically your email address and whatever description, screenshots, or logs you attach. We use it only to investigate and resolve your request.
Sub-processors
We use the following sub-processors:
- Atlassian — hosting of the app and its data, and Marketplace licensing.
- SUBPROCESSOR_2 — PURPOSE (for example: email provider used for support correspondence).
Retention and deletion
Configuration and app data are retained for as long as the app is installed. When the app is uninstalled, data stored in your instance is removed in line with Atlassian's data retention behaviour for app storage. You can also request deletion of any data we hold about you by writing to us at the address below, and we will respond within RESPONSE_DAYS days.
Your rights
Depending on where you are based, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal data relating to you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed, and material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
